Introduction

The Department of Hotel Casino Tourism employs a work integrated education system that helps develop academic research and practical capabilities within the complex resort (hotels, casinos, conventions, etc.) industry, aligning it with the direction of the tourism industry in the 21st century. The ‘National Competency Standards (NCS) Casino Operation Management’ curriculum has been introduced to specialize the casino curriculum and is the foundation for our exchange student programs with China and Japan. Through business agreements with various hotels, casinos, and tourism companies, we are operating a differentiated training course that provides a pathway from work integrated education to employment.
