Department of Cultural Heritage Conservation

Introduction

Cultural assets are precious treasures that contain the wisdom of the people and are assets to human culture. Both tangible and intangible cultural assets are the essence and foundation of regional and national culture. Cultural heritage conservation is the study of archaeological excavation, scientific conservation treatment, and art history research that serves to preserve and protect cultural assets. Through this, we aim to preserve the cultural assets in their original state, raise awareness of their importance, and cultivate professionals who can help to preserve and contribute the nation’s culture and heritage.

The Educational Goal

  • To develop professionals with knowledge and skills in creative, conservation science and technology who can preserve and contribute to the body of cultural assets.

  • To develop professionals who can become curators of museums and galleries.
