Introduction

The Department of Occupational Therapy nurtures professionals with the basic knowledge to serve people with physical, mental, and social disabilities so that they can contribute as members of society, and with the professional knowledge and practical skills necessary to improve quality of life.

The Educational Goal

• To build a solid knowledge foundation in basic theory.

• To develop lifelong learners who maintain currency in the changing and developing specialized knowledge and skills in the field of occupational therapy.

• To develop a thorough understanding of the occupational therapy field through practical education using a cooperative system between academia and industry that allows students to demonstrate their abilities while working in various occupational therapy environments (hospitals, rehabilitation centers, psychiatric hospitals, sanatoriums, and local community centers).

• To foster and cultivate compassionate and empathic occupational therapists.
