Founded in 1992 based on the founding ideals of “Creativity,” “Conviction,” and “Contribution,” Hanseo University has now moved beyond its youthful years and entered a stage of maturity. Over its 33-year history, Hanseo University has established itself as a leading specialized university in aviation, producing a majority of the key professionals in Korea’s aviation and airport industries.

Hanseo University’s Competitiveness Recognized Both Domestically and Internationally

The achievements of Hanseo University shine even brighter as they were earned through overcoming challenges and adversity—something proven by its 33-year history of growth. The university’s competitiveness has been recognized through numerous awards hosted by major Korean media organizations each year.

In 2024, Hanseo University received the 2024 Korea Education Grand Prize hosted by Chosun Edu and the 2024 Best Brand Award Selected by Consumers by The Chosun Ilbo. It also won the K-ESG Management Award presented by The Dong-A Ilbo for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025.

In addition, at CES 2026—the world’s largest consumer electronics exhibition held annually in Las Vegas—Hanseo University and its affiliated family companies received four Innovation Awards. Since first winning in 2020, the university has earned a total of 28 Innovation Awards over seven consecutive years, continuing to write a new chapter in its history.

Final Selection as a “2025 Glocal University”

Hanseo University’s remarkable growth has been made possible thanks to the dedication of its members and the continuous support and encouragement from those who care about the institution. Based on this strong foundation, Hanseo University was honored in October 2025 to be selected for the Korean Ministry of Education’s “Glocal University Project,” which provides funding of 100 billion KRW over five years.

The university has continuously pursued innovation, particularly in the fields of aviation and design. It also became the first university in Korea to open an Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Center, creating an innovative model where the region, industry, and university grow together.
